Record Breaking Number of Socks Collected This Year – A Grand Total of 6,298 Pairs – UNBELIEVABLE!    

Describing this year's "Warm Their Soles" sock collection as merely successful doesn't do it justice! Members of SLAA, along with their residents, family, friends, and vendors, truly surpassed expectations.

The St. Louis Apartment Association’s (SLAA) NextGen Chapter and the Community Awareness committee teamed up to execute this fundraiser.  The socks were delivered to three homeless shelters in St. Louis including Gateway 180, Peter and Paul, and the St. Patrick Center. 

A special “thank you” to Fikret Karajic with Oliver Properties, Rosemarie Torrez with 2B Residential, Jalisa Anderson with Timberland Partners, Jesse Tierney with Mills Properties, Maddie Michel with Ferguson Facilities Supply, Travis Webster with Ferguson Facilities Supply, and Heather Miller with 2B Residential for spending time in the SLAA office to separate, organize and pack-up this massive number of socks. Once everything was packed up, Maddie Michel and Travis Webster with Ferguson delivered the socks to St. Peter and Paul, and Jesse Tierney with Mills Properties delivered to St Patrick Center and Gateway 180.  These three organizations were ecstatic, and so appreciative of SLAA’s efforts to help the less fortunate, who will find great comfort in a warm pair of socks especially as winter sets in throughout the St. Louis area.

SLAA would like to thank the communities, companies, and individuals that supported this effort. We not only brought some holiday cheer to many people looking for help, but we also were able to Warm Their Soles.
